02.0 Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes

03.0 Review of Financial Statements for 2022/23 Operating Year

Published in advance electronically via website and newsletter. This review will be a high level summary of activities.

Councillor Shawn Pigeon will update on happenings and actions of the Township.

Tabling of items open or still ongoing from previous meetings or last year.

05.1 ENVCOMM Lake Water Analysis

The final report has report been issued and is available for all members to access on the website. Previous member questions were addressed, new comments welcome.

05.2 ENVCOMM Lake Plan

The ongoing Lake Plan is in its critical final months of a draft preparation. To be included in this round of Township Planning, they require a draft by end of Sept. 2023. Help is greatly needed to see it through to completion.

06.0 New Business

All items under new business for this year.

06.1 McKLPOA Incorporation

McKLPOA is incorporated as a Not-For-Profit (NFP). What this means to be discussed. Explanation of the Board (BOD) of Directors, and Executive Committee (ExecComm) to membership. VOTE REQUIRED: McKLPOA BOD and ExecComm should be confirmed to remain active. Current President and VP not due till 2024.

06.2 McKLPOA Invitations to ExecComm

The McKLPOA BOD has invited local indigenous leaders to be members of the Executive Committee. Seats on the Executive Committee are also open to active members who wish to participate.

06.3 McKLPOA Bylaws Tabling

VOTE REQUIRED: McKLPOA has developed draft bylaws to be reviewed and accepted by the membership. Published in advance, they will not be read during the meeting, only open for comments/questions and debate.

06.3 McKLPOA Insurance

VOTE REQUIRED: McKLPOA obtaining insurance is a matter for voting. Insurance allows for director and member protection as well as event coverage.

06.4 McKLPOA Member Dues

VOTE REQUIRED: McKLPOA membership dues increase. The treasurer will also table proposed budget for 2023/4. McKLPOA Requires membership manager and area ambassadors (eg. South Road).
